FamilyGO allows parents to set time limits on supported devices (currently Android and Fire/Kindle). There are a few ways to control time on devices.
Scheduled Time Limits
To set schedule time limits, tap the Crown button in the upper right corner of the main screen. This will display the Game Master menu.
Tap Limits to see this screen:
Like other screens, it has a dark gray set of tabs for Family and each child (if you have more than one child). The Family setting apply to all children unless a child's tab is set to override the Family settings.
Screen Time is the amount of time a child is allowed per day. Screen Time can be configured differently for weekdays and weekends. For FamilyGO, weekdays and weekends are defined a little differently than normal. Weekdays = Mon-Thu. Weekends = Fri-Sun.
Bedtime defines the time when devices cannot be used. For Bedtime, weekday and weekends are defined as:
Bedtime Start
Weekdays = Sun-Thu. Weekends = Fri-Sat.
Bedtime Stop
Weekdays = Mon-Fri. Weekends = Sat-Sun.
While a child has time remaining on his daily Screen Time Limit, a parent can immediately pause devices using the Player Time Control panel. To get to this panel, tap the Player status button on the bottom left of the main screen to see a panel like:
Tap the red and white Pause button for the child you'd like to pause. That will display a dialog that allows you to pause with the same setting as the last pause. You can also tap the details button to display more options.
You can choose to pause more than one child, you can set a number of minutes to warn the child of the upcoming pause, and you can configure different amounts of time to pause the child.
After pausing a child, you can unpause there by tapping the Pause button again.
When a child runs out of time, or is in bedtime, the red and white Pause button changes to a green and white Play button. This button operates that same way as the pause, but gives the child an amount of screen time to immediate use. This time is 'use it or lose it' time, not like schedule time. Just like pause, you can immediate take the time away by tapping the Play button again.
If a child purchases extra screen time and uses the ticket, the extra time will appear in green in the Time Left bar.
